Detective Inspector - British Transport Police

Detective Inspector Matt Davies is the British Transport Police (BTP) County Lines Coordinator and oversees BTP’s County Lines Modern Slavery Investigations, as well as advising other Police Forces Nationally in his role within the National County Lines Coordination Centre (NCLCC) and a member of a dedicated network sharing expertise in this field. He has been involved in Policing for over 22 years and spent the last 16 years involved in investigating crime, with the most recent 6 years dedicated to policing County Lines. In November 2023, Davies received a Commendation through NCLCC for ‘Outstanding Performance and Commitment to Policing County Lines’ and in 2025 was awarded Detective Investigation of the Year at the British Transport Police Federation Awards of Excellence.
